Saison Bergamot Americano
For our spring release this year we’ve taken a little detour and we’ve made an americano celebrating bergamot citrus. For those unfamiliar with americano the main difference is that it is bittered using gentian root rather than the wormwood used in a vermouth.
Using fresh bergamot from the cool climate of northeast Victoria, grapefruit blossom, olive leaf, gentian root and cinchona bark. For this release we have worked with a Riesling base wine to push forward the bright crispness of the bergamot’s acidity.
This americano loves a little gin, white grapefruit juice, a dash of tonic and a sunny spring day.
